Aims and Objectives of the Programme
The aim of the examination is to test the candidate’s
ability in the operation of computerised accounts
software/packages applied to routine accounting tasks.
Contents
- Enter cash, cheque and other bank transactions, eg
Standing Orders, Direct Debits.
- Correct errors by means of Credit Notes or Journal
adjustments.
- Enter Tax Reference Codes and/or percentage, i.e. Value
Added Tax or Sales Tax.
- Produce a Trial Balance.
- Produce an Audit Trail.
- Produce an Aged Debtors Schedule.
Assessment
Candidates should be able to demonstrate all the skills
listed above. They will be expected to have complete each
task given without error apart from minor errors of
transcription. They would be able to prepare correct
Overheads Account, Tax Codes and Values. The accurate input
of information as well as formats, having no errors omitted
and the ability in completing assignments must be shown in
the Tasks and exercises given in a legible manner.
After the Course..
All candidates will be competent to take on business
challenges in doing their Book- keeping and Accounts in the
computerised version. It would help them to obtain an
excellent job.
